Paula
S. Reed PhD,
architectural historian, historian and principal investigator, has particular
and extensive experience with cultural resource evaluation. Specifically, she
has worked with National Historic Landmarks and National Park Service properties,
including Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Antietam National Battlefield,
Monocacy National Battlefield, and Grand Teton National Park. Paula S. Reed
and Associates, Inc. has prepared National Historic Landmark documentation for
the Eisenhower National Historical Site at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Radburn,
New Jersey, Chatham Village in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jackson Lake Lodge
in Grand Teton National Park and other properties throughout the United States.
Dr. Reed provides intensive studies of particular buildings including Historic Structures Reports and Cultural Resource Studies for state and federal agencies as well as municipalities and private individuals. She has conducted intensive research on the Hermitage plantation at Monocacy National Battlefield, which resulted in a paper presented at Maryland’s annual preservation conference in 2000, at the annual meeting of the Catoctin Center for Regional Studies in 2000, the Program for the Carolina Low Country and Atlantic World 2002 and an article in Maryland History Magazine, Spring, 2002 issue.
She holds a Ph.D. from the George Washington University, Washington, DC in American Studies, a program that emphasized Cultural History, American Architecture and Historic Preservation.

Edith B. Wallace, historian, has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Delaware and a Certificate in Historic Preservation from Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, West Virginia. She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation at Goucher College, Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Wallace provides historical research and historic context development services for Paula S. Reed and Associates, Inc.
